Were you ever in a moment and you think ‘ i want to hold on to this feeling forever’ ?
You are trying to savour every detail, every detail, every smell , view and sound so you can come back here in your thoughts.
These instances are not frequent i believe, they are the only times that the mind is free of worries, concerns, responsibility and other heavy thoughts. You want these seconds to be with you forever because that moment fills the heart and mind with un-littered air, just a pure feeling of lightness.
Anyone could say ‘ live the moment’ but reality is that most of the time our lifestyle just does not permit it. (unless you are buddha!)
There are three moments that i can remember and value , Highlands Edinburgh 2012. Tucked away was a small chapel with the bells ringing a warm tune, the lake was moving slowly, there was a cold breeze , the smell of dewy grass and birds chirping away.
Pattaya, Thailand 2011, we where on a fishing boat going around islands. The group of people that we where with, together with my husband left for a diving trip. I was left alone on this boat, and although i am scared of the sea, my only thought was the fresh sea air filling up my lungs.
New York City, The Empire State Building 2013. We went to visit the inside and it’s already magnificent , knowing that it has been built in 1931, the art deco style sucks you in and loses you into history. Going on the very top floor to enjoy the view of the city, it was breath-taking already. However what struck me most was while on the top of the double the decker bus.In May at around 6.30pm with the moving traffic in the background and the skyscrapers shadowing us; there was the mighty Empire State building facing us. The traffic lights turned red and at that moment i thought, i would easily stay here for an hour looking at this view.
There will be several major instances in our life, buying a new place, marriage, kids and other rather moving times but they are all filled with responsibility.
However these moments i refered too are heart warming, they give hope that in our life we will encounter times that make us feel totally free.
Take Care 🙂
