How many of you are on and off on a diet constantly?
How many times do you look at a mag or an image and you save it as a desktop or on your phone or just in your brain for inspiration?
How many times in summer do you get into a bikini and you cringe when you see that extra love handle or cellulite?
How many times do you think 2 weeks to my weekend break to get to the shape I want; 3 weeks to fit in perfectly in my special occasion dress , 1 month to my Holiday ?
How many times do you feel like you are totally fed up with your figure and shed a tear?
How many times did it cross your mind that when you are described as curvy they actually think you are fat?
I do feel very passionate about this subject because I see too many people caring what society puts together as perfection. I am fed up of seeing stick thin individuals rubbing in the fact that their ribs are sticking out and they are not eating a plate of pasta with white sauce but a salad! ( Please note for who is thinking I am a size 12!)
So Hold on…we have One Life, Just One shot of life and I can’t eat in a balanced manner what I like? And I need to work out 5 times a week by Force so I remove my visually imperfect ass, when deep down all I want to do after 9 hours of work, is some chores ,eat something light, speak to my family and read a book?
Balance is key, over eating won’t do much good, not having your veg neither and drinking processed drinks constantly will harm you!
So NO don’t bow down to the social insecurities! Balance your lifestyle, have your veg ofcourse, drink a lot of water, have your green tea, have a nice stretch or leisure walk or swim when YOU feel like it, but when you are out for dinner, take that sauce on your steak, the lovely full bodied red glass of wine, eat some bread and have desert!
When you are home give yourself a carb filled (YES CARBOHYDRATES) filled snack, not every day but twice a week a portion of lovely CARB goodness! What is life if I can’t sit down and enjoy my food at least a couple times a week?? Go on Holiday and try new foods and NO DON’T feel guilty about it, why feel sad on trying something new, what will you gain? Enjoy it through and through, give your taste buds a cultural journey of goodness when you get home you won’t have time to taste your food properly most of the time because we are too damn busy!!
What if something negative happens to you that will change your life? I doubt the jog or the chicken Ceaser salad with no dressing will help you fix the problem!
So let’s concentrate on Brain Health primarily, take life lightly one less stress makes a difference because god knows how many challenges we come across!

Side Note – Please note that I am not advocating gorging yourself on processed food , fatty foods like burgers/chips to ultimately cause major health problems. I want to point out that a balanced lifestyle is imperative to be happy, feel good both mentally and physically!
