At last I got some time on my hands to open the gold goblet of beautiful eye shadows that have been on my radar for what seems like ages!
So is the Naked 3 Urban Decay worth the hype and the money?
First of all there is such a large spread of reviews all over You Tube that when I first got to know about it, I did not want to be brainwashed into buying it, considering it is pretty pricey. However in time I saw so many great looks that are made from one palette ;from day to night that it was pretty impossible not to purchase even as I have strong make up interests; its very difficult to over look !
The packaging, feels pretty heavy, presentation of the cardboard cover is solid and the actual palette packaging is heavy duty thick plastic and very put together.
The actual colour selection when you first open it ; range from pretty pinks to more darker shades. There is a selection of matte, shimmer and all the tones can be manoeuvred for an array of looks. It also comes with a double ended eye shadow applicator with a thick tip and a smaller one which is not exceptionally good but can be utilised any ways.
The eye shadows are so pigmented that each look will have its own subtle impact especially when you blend a matte shade to contrast with a shimmery one.
Here are some swatches of each which believe me doesn’t do the level of pigmentation and beauty any justice. However you can see how well they transfer onto my hairy arm!
When buying the Naked 3 you will also receive 4 shades of eye primer samples. The samples will last you many applications as they are decently sized. I have tried the original primer and the eye shadow sets very smoothly and it does not crease in any way. I like the fact that they put samples with 4 well sized packs you can retry and then purchase at your convenience.
Rating: 8.5/10
I don’t blame the wave of people reviewing this product as it is indeed a well executed product which is an investment piece for whoever wants to improve their make up tools to make their look flawless. The packaging is beautiful you can basically leave this palette on your make up table and it will do the talking! The only downside to this product is there are no shops or drug stores that supply Urban Decay products in Malta , which is really sad as I would love to test some more products rather then just ordering on-line . Part of the fun of buying make up is trying it too!
So this is also a public announcement PLEASE STOCK UP MALTA WITH YOUR PRODUCTS! 🙂
Take Care Peeps! 🙂
