Hello Lovelies! Bringing you today is, the foods that keep my weight in check. Around 9 months ago I lost 12 kilos and the next battle with myself was how to maintain this weight off. I first picked out the foods that I liked through my weight loss journey and implemented them 3 to 4 times a week. This post is a pretty standard look at the food’s I will most commonly turn too from Monday to Thursday. Obviously the food varies sometimes, such as changing the fruits depending on the season, vegetables too, different tea’s and dinners may be switched to meat or fish with veg or beans on toast.
Another vital essential is prepping, personally every Sunday evening for an hour. Making sure that you have at least three days covered of food you are going to eat made a huge difference in my life. It is there ready to grab, whatever it is a snack or lunch it is at arms reach and ready for consumption. This let’s me eat whatever I want from Friday evening to Sunday which makes me a very happy girl!
In addition till the evening I drink over 1 litre of water daily.
Here we go!
Breakfast – Wholemeal brown bread with 4 slices of a light cheese with not much fat, for me it’s a maltese white “gbejna” and toasted. A whole banana and tea with skimmed milk.
Mid Morning Snack – Consists of Green Tea & Lemon with an added slice of lemon and a red apple.
Lunch – I alternate between brown long grain rice or brown farfalle pasta, frozen mixed vegetables, hard boiled egg , small can of tuna in sunflower oil and a table spoon of sweet chilli sauce mixed in. For a drink I have ginger and lemon tea cooled down.
Mid Afternoon Snack – Two squares of dark chocolate and a hearty mug of english tea with whole milk.
Dinner – Thankfully my dad prepares me 4 portions of carrot & curry soup per week for me to have for lunch or dinner and it is a blessing as it is so easy to defrost and heat up in the microwave.Together with this soup I usually add half an avocado on a slice of wholemeal toast with a sprinkle of paprika or chilli flakes downed with a huge warm glass of water.
Before bed snack – A square of dark chocolate and a hand full of pumpkin seeds.
Take Care Lovelies xx
