Hello Lovelies! After a week of absence due to a tornado of life events, I bring you a post I have been wanting to write about for a while!
I noticed when I have an evening out, and I know it will be a long one, I turn to the same 4 products 95% of the time. All these products put together are the right combination and when I get home after a night out and see that my face is still on pretty well, Im always pleased.
It is important to repeat my skin type, I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, I have two slight wrinkle lines on my forehead (NOT PLEASED AT ALL) and I am 32 years old. My skin tone is casper pale and I have some redness in the most random area’s. So what I want is to even my skin, keep the oil under control, leave my face looking matte and conceal any dark circles.
First and foremost after going through my moisturising routine, I will leave my face set for a good 5 minutes. Sometimes I choose to put a cream primer however I find that with this foundation it does not connect well. So I spray a generous amount of MAC Prep + Prime. While I am dampening my Beauty Blender, the Fix + will sink into my pores and my skin will be ready for foundation.
Guerlain Parure De Lumiere 03 Beige Natural, is the perfect combination of full coverage without looking like you dumped a bucket of foundation. Blending it all around with the beauty blender is the best way to even it out, I also put the second layer lightly all over to give me an extreme coverage. I leave the foundation to rest for a couple of minutes then I will move to concealer.
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20 this little guy knows his place, I apply this in the typical triangle shape under my eye and then as if baking I apply just a little on the bottom part of my chin. Grab the Beauty Blender and blend my heart out.
For the last step I will grab my trusted Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 003 Peach Glow. With the KIKO powder brush I get a generous amount and dab it all over my face and neck and blend it gently again for the second time with the brush to remove any extra. For my under eye I will swipe the beauty blender in the pressed powder and dab it gently. I find that applying it in this manner will not crease the under eye.
The base has become one of the most important steps in my full coverage make up routine, it really does make a difference to your end result.
Take Care Ladies xx
