Hello Lovelies! Throw back Thursday is a product of a long procrastrinated post!
My travel posts usually consist of photo memories documenting some of the places that we really enjoyed and that you may be interested in visiting if you are heading over to the location!
Enjoy the Photo Blog in New York June 2016.
The airline we flew with was Turkish Airlines. It was an absolute pleasant surprise. They tried to accommodate us on all flights with leg space due to my husband being 6.5 feet. When it comes to food I usually do not like eating meat on a flight so I chose a vegan alternative. I had a total of 6 vegan meals, all different all tasty. The only down part is that from Malta we had to go to Turkey, so we lost a lot of time traveling back and fort.
The hotel we stayed in was called Hotel Mela, a side street away from Time Square. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, the room was quiet and peaceful, the location was perfect , and the staff were helpful. The first full day I woke up at 5am to get ready, and I was in time square at 6.30am. I had already picked my outfit and I was so excited to be in New York!
Out and about in the streets of New York and oddly enough my first snack was a bowl of fresh fruit.
Central park is a lovely walk. It has so many different sceneries. We walked around sipping on some tea for over 2 hours, we walked and took in all the beauty.
A spot of shopping at Macy’s and some good food was in order. First location was Lucy’s which is a block away from the Empire State Building serving Mexican food. We then stopped at Greenwich at Wood Brick Oven Pizza, the ambiance of this restaurant is out of Sex and the City lunch with the girls, surrounded by the city and lovely plants. We had a great dinner at Red Lobster also in Time Square , the portions are MASSIVE and all the flavours where just right.
We went on a lovely boat trip around Staten Island , Statue of Liberty and also great views of the New York sky line. Sun glasses of choice for me were from ASOS. These glasses are so heavy duty perfect for traveling and have good protection.
This time around we walked through central New York a lot, we did also go on the hop on hop off tour however we did a lot of walking too. Bryant Park was a lovely stop for a hot beverage, we stayed there chatting away and observed a group of pensioner age new yorkers doing yoga.
Take care all!
