Hello Lovelies! Throwback Thursday is Part 2 of the US Trip that happened June 2016!
LA was a great place to visit for 3 days, however it didn’t quite capture my heart. Seeing a lot of You-tubers living there I was really curious to see what it was all about.I am sure living there is a different story so I do not want to seem judgemental. The reality is that the people I happen to meet seemed out to get something and knowing I’m a tourist only we got plenty of fake smiles, after the service was over there wasn’t even eye contact and at night it didn’t seem safe, in fact during the night we heard gun shots. I am happy I visited LA once, however I would only go back to visit Universal Studios again that was a BLAST!!!
The apartment we got was from Airbnb, the location was one corner away from the walk of fame. We arrived late at 9pm and we went out to get something to eat, when we came back we had two men waiting for us to open the main door so they can get into the building. I felt so unsafe, but a neighbour told us it is a normal occurrence. I still didn’t like it! Saying that walking through the walk of fame in the morning was a lovely site. The roads lined with palm trees where beautiful.
Walking distance also was the Chinese Theatre and the Dolby Theatre. At a distance we could see the Hollywood sign too. Around this area there are great shops and Victoria Secret had a 50%-70% sale brilliant!
In honour of Harry Potter I remembered to pack my “Harry Glasses”! Harry Potter at Universal Studios is absolutely mesmerising you could easily walk around and take in the glorious detail for hours on end. To be honest I am convert and I am starting to watch Harry Potter now as I had no interest. I promise I will make any Harry Potter fan proud of this Convert I PROMISE!
Springfield is my Jam! The Simpsons have been an epic part of my pre teens. We went all out and bought T- Shirts to meet our main man Homer. Seeing him at Universal Studios I felt 10 again, with butterflies in my stomach I approached him and gave him a massive hug! We also went to the Universal Studios tour where a lot of movies are shot , it is such a incredible sight to see props and buildings you see at the cinema and popular programs. Universal Studios is a must!
Of course the holiday was full of burgers, steaks, lobster and an array of other foods, but this breakfast was proper “pigging out”. 8.30am before Citadel Outlets opened we popped by a diner. It looked like we entered into “Happy Days”. The menu had no toast and butter, oh no no! We chose some mini burgers and a pancake with fried egg, baked potatoes, sour cream and guacamole!
Take care all!
